Eleven calculators and a 2-minute triage. Every number carries its Labor Code section, every tool tells you when your input is probably wrong, and nothing you type is sent anywhere — they run entirely in your browser. None of them will tell you what your case is worth as a single figure, and the case-value page explains why that refusal is the most useful thing on it.

Should you call a lawyer? →
Eight factual questions and an honest sort into three routes — including the one where the free state Information & Assistance officer can probably handle it. Never a verdict on your case; no website can give one.
What are my deadlines? →
Your date of injury in, every clock that applies to you out, sorted by urgency with the statute for each — including the two miscounted most often.
What am I owed? →
Temporary disability, permanent disability, the life pension, mileage, and the penalties for paying you late, with the Labor Code section beside every number.
The money
Your average weekly wage →
Every benefit multiplies out of this one number, and § 4453(c) gives four ways to compute it. Second jobs aggregate, overtime counts, and the carrier's figure controls until someone challenges it.
Permanent disability: weeks and dollars →
Your final percentage becomes weeks under § 4658(d), each week pays a rate capped at $290 since 2014, and the tool says when the rating itself looks wrong.
Decode my rating string →
Paste the row of numbers that determines your money and we explain all six parts, check the arithmetic, and convert it to dollars. No other California firm publishes this.
Light duty pays less — what are you owed? →
Temporary partial disability is two-thirds of what you lost, not two-thirds of your wage — § 4654. The benefit people miss most often.
Medical mileage →
The rate follows the date you traveled, not your date of injury — and 2026 changed mid-year. Handles a dated trip list exactly.
Death benefits →
§ 4702 pays by who depended on the person who died, not by fault — and under § 4703.5, payments to totally dependent minor children do not stop at the maximum.
Settlement
What is my case worth? →
It will not give you a single figure, and the reason why is the most useful thing on the page. It separates the components a statute can compute from the one nobody can — future medical care.
C&R or Stipulations? →
The indemnity is the same figure under both. What differs is future medical care and the § 5410 right to reopen — five years that run from the date of injury, not the award.
Every tool exists in Spanish and Korean. Every rate is read from one canonical rate record with its source attached, and a build check fails if any tool drifts from it. How we research this site.
General information about California law, not legal advice about your case.
Rate figures carry the effective date that governs them. Temporary disability is set by date of injury; medical mileage by date of travel.
Impairment values described are from the AMA Guides, 5th Edition as applied under the California rating schedule; the Guides are a copyrighted medical text and figures here are summarized rather than reproduced. Your rating depends on your own examination findings.
